Wyndford Housing Estate was built on the site of the old Maryhill Barracks; depot of The Highland Light Infantry (HLI) from 1922 until the amalgamation with The Royal Scots Fusiliers(RSF) in 1959 and the formation of The Royal Highland Fusiliers (RHF).

Cube Housing will be hosting their annual Gala Day at Wyndford on Fri 3 Aug between 1200 and 1600.

This is a fun day with lots of stuff for the kids – the Museum will have a stall and we will showing off some of the items which will feature in our new outreach programme.

The story-telling folks from the Maryhill Burgh Halls will be in attendance and they are keen to chat about memories of the area – the Museum is also keen to gather memories of the HLI and the Barracks; as well as memories from the RSF and RHF.
